IntelliShift Hackathon 2026 is a nationwide innovation challenge organized as part of IntelliShift Summit 2026 by the Faculty of Computing and Artificial Intelligence (FCAI), Cairo University.

We are bringing together ambitious university students from across Egypt to develop innovative solutions that address real-world challenges and contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Tracks Smart Apps

Develop intelligent web or mobile applications that leverage AI to provide personalized experiences and solve complex user problems.

Who Can Participate?

  • Open to university students across Egypt.

  • Teams must consist of 2 to 5 members.

  • Cross-disciplinary teams are encouraged.

Judging Criteria

  • Track-Specific Evaluation (50%)

  • SDG Alignment & Tangible Impact (15%)

  • Pitch, Documentation & Feasibility (15%)

  • User Experience & Usability (10%)

  • Scalability (10%)

We believe great ideas can come from anyone. Whether this is your first hackathon or your tenth, we encourage you to participate, learn, build, and create meaningful impact.

Requirements

Submission Requirements

Each team must submit the following through Devpost before the submission deadline:

Required

  1. Project Name

  2. Project Description
    A clear explanation of the problem being addressed, the proposed solution, and its impact.

  3. Team Information
    Names and roles of all team members.

  4. Demo Video
    A video demonstrating the functionality of the project.

  5. Presentation Deck
    A pitch deck describing the problem, solution, implementation, impact, and future roadmap.

  6. Source Code Repository
    A public GitHub repository or an accessible repository shared with the organizers.

  7. Documentation
    A README file containing:

  • Project overview

  • Setup instructions

  • Technologies used

  • Team members

  • Future improvements

Bonus

  • Live deployment

  • Additional technical documentation

  • User testing results

  • Impact assessment aligned with SDGs

Projects must be developed during the hackathon period and comply with all hackathon rules.
